Harmful affects of cigar smoking not established till date
However though there could be minimal health problems that could be caused by anything even drinking tea or smoking marijuana, the theorem that cigar smoking is immensely injurious to health has not yet been established beyond reasonable doubts.
Rather the established fact is that unless one indulges in excessive and vigorous smoking of cigar, it may not be greatly injurious to your health. Moreover a number of cigar accessories have been invented for filtered smoking and the quality of cigars are preserved through humidors for best uses.
The fact remains that the principles that applies to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana also applies to smoking cigars. Judicious and controlled use could be more a pleasure than harm and the effects of smoke could be minimized with patience and endurance in the smoking habits.
Just as drinking alcohol at a gulp is immensely harmful while sipping could be actually beneficial for health, similarly smoking and puffing vigorously could also cause all sorts of health and respiratory problems while slow and steady smoking may not cause any inconvenience at all.

It has now been established with several decades of research in the field that far less health hazards plague cigar smokers than those who smoke cigarettes. The reason is that cigar smoker inhales much less smoke and take much more time to smoke with regular intervals in between.
The NCI report has found out that even a premium cigar can generate nicotine to the level of around ten cigarettes only which is not much. It is time that people come out of the wrong notion about the harmful effects of cigar and learn the safe use of the delicious smoke.
